Anna Koukouli Born is a screenwriter and director splitting her time between New York and Los Angeles. Born and raised in Athens-Greece, educated in the UK, and professionally seasoned in Europe and the world, Anna spent quite some years working at creative advertising agencies where she built brands and produced branded content for blue-chip clients in unacceptably male dominated/high-strung environments, pointless power dynamics and Succession-like egos. 

In combination with her family’s dysfunctional relationships record, Anna is highly qualified to tell stories of occupational trauma and workplace bullying, addiction in the family, codependency and impossible dilemmas. 

She’s terrified by the soon-to-be manifested effects of climate change and is obsessed with women rights and gender equality. Her humor is darker than yours. She bets on it.
